  1. I don't know I enabled it and set it to remember the rule. My add-ons are: AdBlock Plus LastPass Xmarks IE Tab Disconnect
  2. What shall I do about this setting? Shall I tell it to allow always? Everytime I start Chrome I get this warning in EAV v9 Final:
  3. no Eset's products are the most flexible, they don't have such restrictions on activation / reinstallation, you can do that as much as you want as long as you are using it simultaneously on the allocated number of PCs as per your license.
  4. you mean to say that if I install 8.0.319 it will auto update to v9? I checked yesterday and it stated that 8.0.319 was the latest version!
  5. Yes, but on more and more sites Adblock Plus or uBlock is not enough, because they are using now Anti-Adblock-Software like Addefend: These Anti-Adblock programs load testpixels and use additional methods when you load such a website and if they detect that you are using an Adblocker, the website uses very aggressive methods of displaying ads i.e the ads are generated from the wedomain and not the Ad-Domain, or the website is completly blocked with activated adblocker. Therefore I recommend to install greasemonkey and then Anti-Adblock-Killer Reek and to subscribe to the corresponding additional filter-list for Adblock Plus or uBlock: Thanks for that man, I never knew about this, I never saw a single ad anywhere but doesn't hurt to add that extra bit of protection.
  6. simply put, no. Skype does not depend on IE, all it does is it will install the click to call add-on to make phone numbers on web links clickable so you can call those numbers from Skype directly. It does install the same add-on for Chrome and Firefox so you aren't missing anything but not using IE.
  7. sorry didn't understand that........can you elaborate please? is there anything I need to edit in my hosts file? Would like to know also? Maybe add all IPv4 addresses to IPv6 (::1) too? @ Matrix Leader You wrote in the guide that you should install the Disable IE 10 and IE 11 toolkit to prevent KB2670838 that come bundled with them wich breaks AERO functionality. Dont you think its wise to have the latest version of Internet Explorer for security reasons in case older versions have security flaws? I know there are other web browser but Windows depends on Internet Explorer for some cases and having an updated version that may have less or even not at all security flaws is more wiser? Is it not possible to uninstall KB2670838 after updated to newest version of Internet Explorer? 1) you can't uninstall a bundled update as it will not appear in your updates list 2) yes having an older IE will decrease your security, hence, do not use IE! Chrome or Firefox + AdBlock Plus add-on/extension to prevent unwanted ads, make sure you go to the filter preferences in ABP and uncheck the "allow some non intrusive ads to be displayed" most malware these days come from accidentally clicking an add which downloads some program that contains a nasty PUP 3) If you must use IE, then install IE 11 and live with the fuzzy fonts in some websites, you will notice it when scrolling up / down on a webpage it's horrible.
  8. I get it all the time randomly, sometimes pages would load and sometimes they wouldn't......
  9. I noticed that excluding programs with NOD32 does nothing as well. I once had an issue with Outlook 2013 not syncing mails, disabling NOD32 didn't help, only after I uninstalled it did the syncing work properly. Now that issue is gone but just saying that adding stuff to the exclusions of NOD32 does nothing.
  10. I know bro, I am just trying to minimize the culprits. you do not install a malware bundling program then complain (no offense) as then it would be difficult to islolate the issue. Unfortunately, your best bet right now is to format as the damage that uTorrent does on your system is irreversable even if you uninstall it the malware will still be there.
  11. First of all, uTorrent is a virus! use qBittorrent instead, the best free / open source alternative See this: uTorrent's latest update installs a cryptocurrency miner
  12. Ok ill try to install it and see if my NOD32 license will work with it
  13. alright thanks, at least this is a more diplomatic answer than some others here! Cheers man
  14. As I was fishing for the final version of NOD32 v9 Final, I went to the russian site and I saw that they have NOD32 Titan! What is that? Is that a different version that NOD32 Antivirus? I want my NOD32 to become a Titan also If I install the Titan, can I use my current license for NOD32 on it or is it a diff. product altogether?
  15. SweX, Thanks for the reminder about the v7 release. I had forgotten about how it went, wish that was the only thing I couldn't remember. I'm content with how the beta is running but I still look forward to the final so I can try to get some of the rules I added straightened away. Be patient everyone. I would rather have a top performing program then one that wasn't ready for prime time and led to constant problems or worse yet security issues. Take your time Eset, get it right. The point is, they already did get it right, if the final is available in other languages, it means they did get it right. Why torture the rest of the world I don't understand! Not fair! I wanna speak to the CEO right now!
  16. Considering English is the interntional language of the world, I would've thought that they should get the update first or at least at the same time as the Czech version. Not leave the biggest user waves on the older version for long. And again, if it was a matter of days I can understand, but TomasP said in the next coming weeks, definitely not very promising and I am very upset to read this.
  17. Coming weeks? Wow! I thought you would've said coming hours or coming days! This is not fair that you release it for one country before another. We all pay. IMHO it should be a global release! Enough with the buggy v9 Beta or the super slow v8. Give it to us for God's Sake! I have a license for 7 computers valid until 2020
  18. Rebooted again and the error didn't popup...... weird..
  19. Been running Windows 10 for 3 days now along with the latest NOD32 v9 Beta and the issue never came. This time when I restarted I saw the exact same popup about protocol filtering problem Although even though the error showed up even on Windows 10, I wasn't able to visit the above link as NOD32 blocked it. This time I was able to send the feedback, seems like they fixed the issue with the site. #TICKET 154956
  20. I formatted and installed Windows 10, now this error doesn't appear anymore. It's a problem with Windows 7. I don't have access to that Windows 7 machine anymore as I formatted but on Windows 10 NOD32 doesn't allow me to visit the above link so HTTP scanning is working, but again, on Windows 10. Furthermore, as I stated in the OP, the send feedback link is broken, once you hit submit nothing happens.
  21. tried that, no luck, and yes it is persistent after every restart. Didn't happen on Windows 10 though. only on Windows 7 FTW
  22. Hi there, I just got this error on a fresh installation of Windows 7 x64. When I hit submit feedback, it takes me to the Beta Site feedback form, after filling it out and hitting submit, nothing happens, the page just continues to load forever... the error is: "Hi there, just installed a fresh new Windows 7 x64 then installed NOD32 v9.0.117.0 (x64), after it updated to v9.0.141.0 and I restarted, I got a popup message on the right saying "Protocol filtering problem". I attached the image of the error message. I have installed NOD32 v9.0.117.0 (x64) also on Windows 10 before and it was running superb with no errors at all. This is the first time I see this error."
