  1. NOD32 AV in English is missing from the ME download page, this just happened recently All other languages are available except English. Please report this to the concerned department hxxp://www.eset.com/me/download/home/detail/family/2/?installer=offline#offline,249,
  2. strange, either way I am glad NOD32 goes this deep to protect users. Another user on another forurm commented that his Bitdefender AV didn't catch such attempts. This just makes me feel safer and happier that I use NOD32
  3. Wow, what is going on with the world?! First Micro$h4ft and now Mozilla?? I can't thank ESET enough for protecting its users against PUPs and now these kind of attempts! No other security product does all this in one lean and clean package! This is just with NOD32 Antivirus not even ESS! Just saw this popup: and this is despite my settings which don't allow such stuff!
  4. Just tried Photoshop CS6 on Windows 10 PRO Bulid 10586 64-Bit with NOD32 v9 and it doesn't freeze on startup. Strange how an older version of Photoshop works fine but the newer one conflicts with NOD32 v9
  5. oh ok, thanks man. I thought I was missing out on the latest build or something. Glad the current version supports the 10586 Windows 10 build though. I guess this was done through internal updates of NOD32 that come along as promised.
  6. I use a user on the ESS sub forum say that he got ESS v9.0.318.20 I can't find that version on the global site or the ME site and my NOD32 says that 9.0.318.0 is the latest version so where did that guy get it and where can I download the latest version from then?
  7. Totally agree with you, I tried Avira AV Pro last month and I felt it brought down the performance of my whole system and it takes 3 times more time to scan my complete system vs NOD32. Either way, I am glad Eset is doing good even in those reviews as it was way behind in the past but it has improved a lot.
  8. Where did you download 9.0.318.20 from I can't find it on the ESET website
  9. hxxp://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php?chart=chart4&year=2015&month=10&sort=1
  10. NOD32 v9 is simply not compatible with Windows 7. I don't get this bug on my Windows 10 machines but all of the Windows 7 ones has it.
  11. yup this is what I mean thank you for that. Disabling NOD32 is as good as nothing, that setting never really worked. I have to buy another security solution for now. Maybe I'll try NOD32 next year and use my 5 year license, but for now, the issues, be it performance issues or such drastic issues that prevent me from using my computer the way I do is something I cannot tolerate.
  12. Well I guess I'm a first but this is a clean installation of Windows 10 Pro x64 and Windows Defender and all its startup entries disabled with no other security software installed. this issue only started when I started getting the protocol filtering bug upon every restart. But another problem is why doesn't disabling NOD32 fix this? Same thing happened to me last year as I said in an earlier post where MS Outlook 2013 would fail to sync my emails, even if I disabled NOD32, after uninstalling it, the syncing worked. Now syncing Outlook is no longer an issue but what I am trying to say here is, disabling NOD32 does nothing, only the icon says that it is disabled but it seems like the core components like HTTP scanning is still active despite me choosing to disable protection. This hasn't changed with v9 as well.
  13. First of all, when will ESET fix this major bug whereas when you disable NOD32, it doesn't really get fully disabled? Just as a current example and I won't bother going with the many other examples I had in the past, I was trying to download the XMARKS add-on on Firefox, at the end of the download, I would get the error message which I will show you in the screenshot below. disabling NOD32 didn't fix the problem, so I then uninstalled NOD32 and the download and installation worked right away. This has part to do with the Protocol Filtering bug I get upon every startup of Windows 10 Pro x64 Build 10240 (official) NOD32 is very buggy and I don't think it was ready for a public released, heck even the BETA never gave me such problems. I have uninstalled it now and will let my 5 year license for 7 PCs collect dust. I cannot deal with these issues. NOD32 was the only AV for me that didn't conflict with anything but it's a big mess right now. Very disappointed.
  14. Great, what is PCU though? PCU = Program Component Update - they get downloaded via the VSD update channel. thanks man
  15. Same problem here yesterday on a Windows 10 laptop, happens randomly upon restart.
  16. Ooops, issue solved, I launched my VPN (Private Internet Access) and connected using the VPN and now it installed. My apologies that I blamed NOD32 as that was the only change I did since last time I installed it was to install NOD32. Cheers
  17. I disabled the entire protection completely, doesn't make a difference. as I stated from the past in v8, also disabling NOD32 didn't solve an issue I had where MS Outlook wouldn't sync email, only uninstalling NOD32 then solved the issue with Outlook. I feel it is the same case here where I am disabling NOD32 and it isn't really being disabled. I don't want to uninstall it just to install the software instead, I wanted assistance via TeamViewer to see how we can get it to install.
  18. You can try downloading it yourself and see how it goes: hxxp://ftp22.nero.com//oem/Stashimi/stashimi-Stub-12.1.4500.0.exe
  19. that's right, has always been the case. Even if you have a NOD32 v2 or 3 license, as long as it's valid, it would work on the latest version provided you are installing the same product (ie. NOD32 or ESS)
  20. With my Nero 2016 Platinum Suite, I have the option to install stashimi for free which is an online radio/recorder. I have installed it numerous times before and last was yesterday just fine What I would do is launched Nero 2016 launcher and click on the stashimi icon, then it would start downloading and installing stashimi I didn't have NOD32 installed when I was able to install it as I was waiting for v9 final. I only had MBAM Premium installed and active just as a temporary solution until NOD32 v9 was released. Now that NOD32 v9 went final, I formatted and installed Windows 10 again to have a fresh start, mind you Windows Defender and all its startup entries are disabled The first thing I did after installing all drivers and doing the Windows updates was to install NOD32 Now when I launch Nero then click on stashimi, it starts to download then I get a message from the installer "stashimi setup has ended" I tried many times but no luck. I even disabled NOD32 and added the temp folder to the exclusions but no luck. Now I don't trust disabling NOD32 because in the past with v8 when I had a problem with Outlook 2013 not syncing emails properly, disabling NOD32 did nothing, only after uninstalling it did Outlook start to work so I think there is a serious bug in NOD32 where disabling it doesn't really mean it's fully disabled. Any ideas or can you please login to my PC using TeamViewer to check?
  21. thanks for the confirmation. I already did change my username/password to a single code my concern ws only about re-installations.
  22. For the first time ever, when I installed NOD32 v9 Final, after activating it, it said that this device is now activated, computer name PREDATOR So now if I reinstall my OS and reinstall NOD32, will I have problems? Do I need to de-activate the license somehow or do we still have the most convenient licensing system which has no problems with reinstallations?? Kindly clarify why it stated my computer name this time unlike older versions
