Is the latest NOD32 compatible with Redstone?
Super_Spartan replied to Super_Spartan's topic in ESET NOD32 Antivirus
I noticed the Start Menu is very buggy in this so called RTM build. Like I would try to arrange some items and it just crashes and sets everything back to stock so I just installed Classic Shell 4.3.0 and it works fine That new build you mentioned hasn't been leaked/published yet Going back to our topic, I have installed NOD32 yesterday and enabled pre-release updates, working fine so far but I will repory any issues here. Do note that the version is still the same 10.0.0.390 -

Sorry I mean the Creators Update, Redstone 2. I have it installed as it was leaked out, final version..... This is not a beta, no watermarks, did a clean install and activated right away See: -
I just installed Windows 10 Redstone (RTM Build), I disabled Windows Defender as I can feel it's very heavy but before I go ahead and install NOD32, is the latest version compatible with Redstone or not yet?

Stand-alone AV Cleaning Tools Comparative
Super_Spartan replied to Super_Spartan's topic in General Discussion
Look at how bad the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal tool (or shall I say, ignore tool) does in the above image.... That's why I disabled it from ever being installed.......to do this.....save this as a TXT file and rename the extension to.reg then merge it with your registry: Disable Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool -

NOD32 affects Samsung 960 Pro Performance?
Super_Spartan replied to Super_Spartan's topic in ESET NOD32 Antivirus
Ok thanks for the confirmation Marcos. I will now refund my McAfee AntiVirus plus and go back to EAV -
I no longer have NOD32 installed as I noticed a performance deterioration in my SSD Benchmarks even though it was disable at the time of the benchmark..... I then ran the same benchmark while McAfee Antivirus Plus was installed and running (not disabled) and got even higher results.... I can't provide you with any system information right now other than the specs of my laptop but here goes........ The only reason I mentioned this is because I remember a user here once complaining about how NOD32 AV affects Samsung 950 PRO SSD Performance...... With NOD32 installed / disabled: McAfee AntiVirus Plus installed and running:

ESET NOD32 Antivirus v10.0.386.0 Released
Super_Spartan replied to Super_Spartan's topic in ESET NOD32 Antivirus
I am an assistant editor on Major Geeks. I told the owner about this as I noticed it too. I asked him to link to the onliny installer as that ensures you get the newer 386 version, but their reply was that when you are trying to install it, it downloads the update automatically......strange..... This is with the online installer....... -
