  1. According to the user who tested Internet protection module 1094, the problem with AdMuncher hadn't occurred before installing v7. Anyways, we'll be glad if the new module solves the issue for you, too.
  2. The license entitles you to download any version of the product you've purchased. However, we recommend always using the latest version which basically provides better protection and has bugs from previous versions fixed.
  3. The question is whether it's actually ESET or another software that is causing the values to reset. Maybe you could create a HIPS rule that would notify you when another application attempts to change the values. Also you could try to find a pattern when the values get reset (e.g. after a computer restart, after an update, when running a specific application, etc.).
  4. The root certificate is added to Firefox automatically if it's properly installed (ie. with portable versions, you have to import it manually). If it doesn't work for you' please continue as follows: - with all browsers and email clients closed, disable SSL scanning - start logging all operations using Process Monitor - enable SSL scanning and click OK to close the setup window - start Firefox - stop logging - compress the Process Monitor log, upload it to a safe location and PM me the download link
  5. A customer have confirmed that updating the Internet protection module to v. 1094 solved problems with AdMuncher. The new module will be released to pre-release servers shortly. If you want to receive the new module as soon as possible, enable pre-release updates in the advanced update setup.
  6. Please confirm that upgrading to the latest version of Endpoint fixed the problem for all of you who have reported it.
  7. Hello, could you please check if the problem persists after updating from pre-release servers which should download and load the archive module 1186 ?
  8. I've asked the product manager about the plans for releasing PCU to v. 5.0.2225. As soon as I hear from him, I'll let you know.
  9. Thank you for your comments, this was probably the very first request for implementing SSL scanning that we've received. I've passed your request on to the product managers for consideration.
  10. Dear users, We take liberty to ask you to cast your vote in this poll and to thus help us improve the service we provide to our customers. We appreciate your participation in the poll. Best regards, ESET team
  11. If you don't mind that threats wouldn't be cleaned automatically you can set the cleaning level to "no cleaning" in the real-time protection setup. Afterwards, real-time protection will pop up a window with action selection whenever a threat is detected and will wait for user's action.
  12. If the problem occurs intermittently, I wouldn't probably use Procmon or it may ran out of memory if you leave it running for too long. Try exporting the above mentioned registry key and when the issue occurs, compare the current value with the exported one to see if it was really changed / removed.
  13. 1, I confirm it was a false positive which was fixed quickly via the Rapid response module. 2, We prefer submissions via email because people submit a lot of junk via the program's gui which may cause your sample to get lost among tons of benign files and media files.
  14. Please follow the instructions in this KB article to report the file to ESET.
  15. Probably something is deleting the values in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ESET\ESET Security\CurrentVersion\Plugins\01000200\Profiles\@My profile\Certificates. Try to monitor this registry key to find out under what circumstances the values are removed.
  16. Please provide more information about your operating system so that we can try to reproduce the problem.
  17. Please PM me your license so that I can check it on files and find out if it was canceled by mistake or if it was a sort of misunderstanding on distributor's part.
  18. There are hundreds of thousands of legitimate applications that are new to LiveGrid so your suggestion would produce a lot of warning to users who wouldn't know whether to allow the application to run or not.
  19. Website categorization is provided by another company, not by ESET. As for groups 1, 2 and 3, categories in these groups can be edited after clicking "Edit group" in the Web control rules editor. Subsequently you can use these groups to create blocking or allowing rules.
  20. You wrote "I manually set the RA and update server info, and it's being updated correctly." Does that mean you rewrite these settings with the very same values manually and it starts working correctly then?
  21. Could you please reproduce the crash with Windows configured to generate complete or at least kernel memory dumps? When done, compress the dump, upload it to a safe location and pm me the download link. The dump should help us determine whether the crash is actually caused by ESET or whether it's something in Outpost firewall triggering the crash.
  22. There's probably a good reason why the notifications cannot stay on the screen forever. Imagine the computer got infected with a virus infecting legit files. In such case, only 101 notifications would be buffered (that's the maximum limit) and the rest wouldn't appear (although all detections would be logged).
  23. Please configure the system to generate kernel or complete memory dumps and then reproduce the crash. Then continue as follows: - generate a SysInspector log - compress the dump along with a SysInspector log - upload the archive to a safe location and pm me the download link.
