pleasehelpme888 0 Posted September 1, 2015 Share Posted September 1, 2015 so i've got Virus Scanner Initialization Failed when i turned on my computer today (no it wasn't there before), and i restarted my computer and the error is gone and after that i downloaded EICAR (virus test file very known) and it didn't block me from downloading it / running it and when i scan it it says 0 secs 0 scanned ? of course i uninstalled and reinstalled but still the same thing it doesn't detect EICAR . Administrators Marcos 5,074 Posted September 1, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 1, 2015 It sounds like if the engine file em002_32.dat in the ESET installer folder was corrupt, however, in such case uninstallation and a new installation should help. pleasehelpme888 0 Posted September 1, 2015 Author Share Posted September 1, 2015 yes it have been fixed by uninstalling and reinstalling again which is odd since i already did it (i uninstalled this time by Your uninstaller and the one before was by the manual eset uninstaller in safe mode) thank you.
