Hi,

I upgraded our Linux virtual appliance both server and web console to the latest ESET PROTECT. I am trying to download the all in one installer from the web console\ installers

All i can see is this:

How should i troubleshoot this why is this not working?

I waited long, tried to download again later, rebooted the server, nothing helps. If you need any more information let me know.

Peter

I'd suggest opening a support ticket for further troubleshooting. Enclose a log from tcpdump from an attempt to create AiO as well as trace.log, ideally created with debug or trace verbosity.

Before you get response from ESET support, I would recommend to troubleshoot network connectivity, especially between ESET PROTECT Server and ESET repository servers (http://repository.eset.com). Creation of all-in-one installers heavily depends on download of multiple larger files from ESET repository. Also note that firewalls and HTTP proxies in between should be verified in case it won't be clear where the problem might be.
As ESET PROTECT Appliance is in use, I would recommend to check there is enough free resources (disk space and RAM) during procedure - creation of all-in-one installers might be resource consuming (even few hundred MBs of RAM might be required).

when i look into apache HTTP proxy (still not using ESET Bridge) the bootstrapper epi.exe given answer 503 and 502 instead 200 so the console can't download the package installer before the epi download success

Most likely it's a problem on the firewall that you might be using. Are you able to download epi.exe from the above link using wget or curl in the VA?

In my case (we are using virtual linux appliance) looked the logs (/var/log/eset/remoteadministrator/server/trace.log)  and found that the server can not download some required files (see attached picture).

Also found from multiple servers the link can not be downloaded. So we got some firewall issue, from my home pc the link works fine. This was the solution, plus to upgrade everything. The server, the console, the appliance console and OS.

I had a similar problem, the installer didn't download.
In the logs "C:\ProgramData\ESET\RemoteAdministrator\Server\EraServerApplicationData\Logs\trace.log" there were entries:

2023-02-01 05:41:43 Error: ConsoleApiModule [Thread 2b4ec]: 2670 Unexpected error while processing GetFileProgress request: GetFile: Failed to process HTTP request (error code: 20019, url: 'hxxp://repository.eset. com/v1/com/eset/tools/installers/bootstrapper_era/v4/4.0.17.0/epi.exe')

Although the server has full access to the Internet, there was a problem with downloading via HTTP hxxp://repository.eset.com/v1/com/eset/tools/installers/bootstrapper_era/v4/4.0.17.0/epi.exe

I redirected (on the Internet gateway) requests to https and it all worked.

Hi all,

I raised a support ticket and hope they will resolve the issue so that their documentation allows correct functioning.

In the meanwhile, I can confirm a workaround based on what has already been said here.

image.pngUpdate your repo address to include the https address as found in chapter II here: https://support.eset.com/en/kb6749-eset-security-management-center-repository-is-not-working-7x

Please see my screenshot attached for the setting.

That has fixed it on both our old VA and our new VA we were advised to make to fix the issue.

It looks like exe files are blocked in your network when downloaded via http but downloads via https work, either because of no SSL inspection or they are allowed if SSL inspection is performed.
