Administrators Marcos 5,286 Posted November 27, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 27, 2020 Since it's MBR which is infected, you will need to repair it, e.g. using bootrec as follows: https://www.pcworld.com/article/3113585/how-to-repair-windows-master-boot-record-and-fix-your-bricked-pc.html

itman 1,754
Follow this guide: https://support.novastor.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011403653-How-to-repair-the-EFI-bootloader-on-a-GPT-HDD-for-Windows-7-8-8-1-and-10 Recommend the repair from installation media option. Note that you will have to select the USB attached drive via number assigned to it. Do not use "0" as shown below since that is most likely the Win OS boot drive: Quote Type and run the command : sel disk 0 Make sure this is done: Quote Verify that the EFI partition (EPS - EFI System Partition) is using the FAT32 file system and assign a drive letter to it (Assign a letter that isn't already in use.): You will have to research further if EFI partition is not FAT32 formatted.
