wa2pux 0 Posted May 4, 2020 Posted May 4, 2020 I have ESET and content screening software on three computers: two desktops and one laptop, One desktop is Windows 7, the other desktop and the laptop are Windows 10. ONLY ON THE LAPTOP a "local user" is configured that I never put in there. (fkiynygdck) I go to settings and delete it. Wait a while and it reappears. I run a complete scan with ESET and I am clean. I run a complete scan with MALWAREBYTES and I am clean. Yet, this "local user" is persistent. Do I have something to be concerned with here?
Administrators Marcos 5,741 Posted May 4, 2020 Administrators Posted May 4, 2020 You have activated Anti-Theft on "DO....Y-LAPTOP", the name of the phantom account is "zyssowmqbx". You can disable AT via the AT portal https://anti-theft.eset.com. On "DESKTOP-J.....J-R......p" the name of the phantom account is "fkiynygdck". Aryeh Goretsky 1
wa2pux 0 Posted May 4, 2020 Author Posted May 4, 2020 Aaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh! Feeling better! Yes, I did, indeed, enable anti-theft on the laptop. Now I will go about with peace on this account. Thank you!
