  1. Hello, ESMC (ESET Security Management Center) is the newer version of ERA (ESET Remote Administrator). So I would highly recommend to focus on the ESMC.
  2. Hello, as stated in the Database requirements for ESMC 7.1 , MariaDB is not supported for ESMC 7.1. https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/71/en-US/database_requirements.html
  3. Hello, this is described in the product documentation: https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/70/en-US//?admin_pol_for_ios_mdm.html
  4. But as stated here : https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/70/en-US/?client_tasks_system_update.html. Allow reboot - This option applies to Windows operating systems only and forces the client computer to reboot once the updates are installed. If this option is not selected, updates that require a reboot will not be installed. So in the current implementation, the scenario you want to achieve is not possible. You either install all updates and if one of them requires to reboot the computer will reboot. Or you install all updates that do not require a reboot. The only workaround for this can be to schedule the task in a timeframe when the reboot will not cause any problems.
  5. Hello, for this, you should use Client task -> Mobile -> Anti-Theft Actions -> Platform: iOS DEP -> Command: Find (Turn on Lost Mode). The device can be unlocked afterward only from ESMC Web Console with "Turn off Lost Mode " task.
  6. Hello, I think you can find useful information here : https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/installation_deployment_scenarios.html and here https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/infrastructure_sizing.html
  7. It is possible to manage your mobiles with MDM with certificates created only in the ERA/ESMC console. If your certificates match the requirements mentioned in the link above, and you are still experiencing problems, please contact ESET Tech Support.
  8. Hello, For problems with the iOS12 certificate, please check the iOS 12 requirements https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/?mobile.html
  9. Hello, try this specific KB article: https://support.eset.com/kb6011/ and also the MDM troubleshooting: https://support.eset.com/kb6374/ Oliver
  10. Hello, have a look at this: https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/70/en-US/how_to_configure_snmp.html
  11. Hello, the content is available at https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/?mobile.html
  12. There is no such option at the moment. But you can create a read-only user for them and give that user permissions to see your policies. This way they can navigate to the Policies, click on any policy they need and under the Setting tab see all the applied settings of the policy.
  13. Hello, Agent policy settings are described here: https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/70/en-US/agent_settings.html and Security product proxy settings are described here: https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/70/en-US/agent_settings.html You can also find the full description on how to set up the proxy for ESMC here: https://support.eset.com/KB6750/
  14. Hello, you can find useful information here: https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/failover_cluster_linux.htmlhttps://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/failover_cluster_linux.html
  15. Hello, For Notifications- > Distribution -> Send email it is required to configure : Admin -> Server settings -> Advanced Settings -> SMTP Server. as stated here : https://help.eset.com/era_admin/65/en-US/?admin_server_settings.html -> "SMTP server - Use an SMTP Server to let ERA Server send email messages (for example email notifications or reports). "
  16. Hello, you should be able to do this via : Web and Email -> Web Access protection - > URL Adress Management -> Adress List -> (Edit) =>> Here you can use the "wildcard" to block all URLs except those included in a list of allowed addresses.
  17. Hello, please check the version of MySQL and ODBC driver and follow the instructions here : https://support.eset.com/kb6760/ if it matches your situation.
  18. At this point, I would recommend contacting ESET technical support, with a reference to this forum topic.
  19. For the MDM part : what is the version of MDM and ERA server you are using? ( because you mentioned v6.3 and v6.4 documentation articles) This is a detailed guide with everything you should know/do to successfully enroll a mobile device: (Android: https://support.eset.com/kb3686/ / iOS: https://support.eset.com/kb6368/ )
  20. Hello, can you please share some additional information? Agent version: OS of the client device: Thanks.
  21. Hello, please verify that the firewall is configured for all required MDM ports https://help.eset.com/era_install/65/en-US/index.html?ports_used.htm so that the MDM server can connect to the APNS server. Another issue can be in the APNS certificate. Verify that the hostname of the MDM server is consistent in the MDM certificate as well as in the APNS certificate. Oliver.
  22. Hello, because there is a major-version difference in the DB server, it is not possible to move the DB from newer-version DB server to older one. In this case, I would recommend to "to move all other databases from the SQLEXPRESS instance (v11.0.2100) to the newer instance (ERASQL, v12.0.2000) in order to let my server only need to run one instance?" Oliver.
  23. As this is usually a temporary issue, if the issue still persists, I would suggest opening a support ticket, with appropriate logs so it can be investigated further.
