Hi,

How can I block websites using ESET Web Control feature with proxy connection enabled on the clients??

As long as you have the proxy configured properly under Tools -> Proxy server and ESET receives responses to DNS TXT queries, there's no reason why it wouldn't work.

Hi,

I have configured proxy setting under tool option, still it didn't work.

Is there anything else I need to check?

Please help!

The proxy does not have anything to do with sites being blocked. Are you blocking via just URL or categories?

Are the sites you are trying to block HTTPS?  If so then SSL scanning would need to be enabled which unfortunately can lead to other issues.

Hi,

As I observed, blocking work perfectly on the machine without proxy connection.

I have tried both URL & Categories and HTTP & HTTPS.

Web control performs a DNS net check to determine the category of a website so if you use a proxy it must be configured in the advanced setup -> Tools -> Proxy server. Also the program must receive responses to DNS TXT queries for website categorization to work.

Hi,

Proxy Sever setting has been already configured.

How to check this ---"Also the program must receive responses to DNS TXT queries for website categorization to work"
