Maxx2777 0
I have Endpoint Security installed on my machine. I was attempting to have my client grab av updates online by entering our license credentials in the update section of my settings. I connected ok, but my client then gave me a warning that my license is for the Endpoint Anti-virus product and it turned off my protection. We normally have our clients update through our server, but I am testing the online method for some remote users. Thanks.
Administrators Marcos 5,294 Posted April 2, 2016 Administrators Share Posted April 2, 2016 Are you positive that you purchased a license for Endpoint Security and not for Endpoint Antivirus?
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted April 2, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 2, 2016 What product you are using? You have not mentioned "activation", which means you are using V5. But even if you enter incorrect credentials, it won't disable protection, just the updates won't work.
ESET Staff Gonzalo Alvarez 66 Posted April 2, 2016 ESET Staff Share Posted April 2, 2016 Hi @Maxx2777, Besides the license topic, if you want (example) a laptop update from your internal server when is inside the company and update from ESET Servers when is in another country you need to setup what we call "dual update profile" configuration. Below you will find the 2 KB to do that, hope this help you.
