Arandax 0
Hi, I'm experiencing this issues with several customers that can't open / copy / move files that have been downloaded as an Outlook attachment and saved in a network share (QNAP NAS). Files can be opened / copied / moved if protection is temporary disabled. Windows error code while attempting to move file: 0x8007003B Office gives a generic "Cant' open (file name, example.docx)" generic error instead. Issues experiencing only on Windows 11 machine, works in Windows 10. Eset Version 17.0.15 Edited December 15, 2023 by Arandax typo error
Administrators Marcos 5,242 Posted December 15, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 15, 2023 What QNAP NAS do you have? Does it use the Linux-based QTS operating system? Does temporarily disabling HIPS and rebooting the machine make a difference?
Arandax 0
Thank you for your reply. I can reply this issue on 2 different QNAP NAS: 1. TS-264 QTS 5.1.2.2533 (20230926) 2. TS-453E QTS 5.1.4.2596 (20231128) disabling HIPS and rebooting doesn't make any difference. Tested it right now.
para 0
I get the same error 0x8007003B when copying files from the NAS. If I remember correctly, it started occurring within a month. If I temporarily stop the protection, I can copy the files without any problem. I have tried everything that comes up when I look up countermeasures for the 0x8007003B error, but no improvement. Administrators Marcos 5,242 Posted December 18, 2023 Administrators Share Posted December 18, 2023 Please raise a support ticket. We'll need a Procmon log with protected service disabled from time when copying the file as well as logs collected with ESET Log Collector from the machine. Υπάρχει λύση για αυτό; First of all we kindly ask you to post in English since this is an English forum. Disabling network drives should work around the issue. A fix will be most likely included in hotfix 17.1.
