Getting error when trying to send notifications via SMTP

I tried the following:

User: [MyUser]@gmail.com

Password: copied the password from Chrome (that access the email no problem)

SMTP server: tried smtp.gmail.com:587 and smatp.gmail.com:465, both with and without TLS

I get an unhelpful "an error has occurred..."

Did you enable 2FA for your Gmail account and an app password for applications that don't support 2FA and used this password for authentication?

By app you mean..? I have eset smart security premium installed and running on my pc. My gmail account does have 2 steps authentication set.

Here is the step you should to do and if you still fail to do it, you have a problem with your self (just kidding):

Try it and it must be work 100% persen.
