Michael_wp 0 Posted April 26, 2023 Posted April 26, 2023 Hello, We try to setup Web Control on Eset 10.0.2045 - generally it works. We have enabled the rulle to block not categorised pages. How we can exclude the teams traffic from Webcontrol? The Teams IP's are not categorized by Eset.
Administrators Marcos 5,466 Posted April 26, 2023 Administrators Posted April 26, 2023 You could create a url group with IP addresses that are not categorized and are accessed directly (ie. not via hostnames) by applications and use the url group in a permissive rule.
Michael_wp 0 Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 Can I use there IP ranges , something like 13.107.64.0/18, 52.112.0.0/14, 52.122.0.0/15, 2603:1063::/39 ? https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoft-365/enterprise/urls-and-ip-address-ranges?view=o365-worldwide#skype-for-business-online-and-microsoft-teams
Administrators Marcos 5,466 Posted April 26, 2023 Administrators Posted April 26, 2023 No, each url/ip address must be entered separately. Wildcards are not supported by Web Control either.
Michael_wp 0 Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 So this is not a solution. I do not think it is possible to know or insert manually all the Teams IP Adresses. Why Eset do not categorise the Microsoft IP ?
Administrators Marcos 5,466 Posted April 26, 2023 Administrators Posted April 26, 2023 We use a 3rd party website categorization provider database. I'd recommend not to block "Not categorized" and "Not resolved" categories at all. I'd allow them and report them to ESET PROTECT for a review.
Michael_wp 0 Posted April 26, 2023 Author Posted April 26, 2023 Ok, so can you add the IP ranges there? I think it would be usefull.
Administrators Marcos 5,466 Posted April 26, 2023 Administrators Posted April 26, 2023 I can't promise anything on behalf of the 3rd party provider. Please raise a support ticket, technical support will have to contact the provider on this matter.
