ekrn.exe and errors 5858 in the event log (WMI-Activity)

I find, in the event log, errors of this type, 2696 is the process id of ekrn.exe

Probably some issue with WMI. Try repairing the WMI repository. There are plenty of websites with instructions, e.g. https://superuser.com/questions/190960/repair-wmi-on-windows-7

I have the same issue.  Does that mean that there is something wrong with eset?  What does all this mean?

Thanks for the reply, the problem has not been solved but I think it is not an ESET problem.

I see them also. Two or three at a time along with other WMI errors.

I won't worry about them unless there is a functionality issue with Eset.
