Some_IT_Guy 0
Hi, We were in EES6.7 + ERA6 VA + ERA6 VA Proxy (to use cache and save bandwidth) I followed some step by step guide to migrate my database to a new ESMC7, and began to deploy some EES7 + agent7... it works... Then I have read (here : https://support.eset.com/kb6922/) there is no more special "ERA PROXY", so I just activated the HTTPD service (checked the box during configuration) directly on the ESCM7 server, so my ESMC7 server can be used as proxy by my clients to download there updates (and use the cache) But not working for the moment, clients get a "Product update failed" message, or "Download interrupted"... Is it mandatory to allow cache using, to get a first ESCM7 server, and a second ESCM7 server just for HTTPD service (like in the KB I linked), or can I try to use only 1 server ? Regards, Eric

Regards, Eric It should make no difference, whether you are using proxy directly in ESMC server, or in spearate appliance/machine. Just make sure you properly adapted all configuration policies, so that clients are using proxy on correct hostname/IP. I would also verify proxy is accessible from outside, i.e. whether firewall is correctly configured in appliance hosting proxy.
