  1. You will find the rule as explained here : https://support.eset.com/en/kb2843-create-a-firewall-rule-to-allowdisallow-use-of-a-certain-application-in-my-windows-eset-home-product
  2. Try as cyberhash suggested , when the game says you are offline , alt tab to Setup Protection in ESET and then Network Troubleshooting , see if you can find Rockstar launcher or GTA exe there being blocked.
  3. He said that uninstalling fixed it, I have a question on this matter Marcos if you please If I have a rule block on example.exe , and then I shutdown the firewall , will that rule still apply and be blocked or it will pass normally since I shut down the firewall?
  4. When CCleaner was popular , Microsoft themselves said that it's pointless to have those programs and they will actually harm more than they fix , so they have decided to launch one themselves. But I still find it useless and actually funny thing that ESET AI detected it as Suspicious for it's reasons.. , so whatever is important there is the antivirus where it's already included in Windows And funny thing is we don't live in times of fixing registry can fasten the PC a little bit , where we used to work on very slow processors , and freeing up storage? , can't we do it manually , or even include it in Windows to help free up storage from temp and update folders etc automatically...... if it was for me I would stay away from this application
  5. I went to international website and downloaded it , but yeah I understand it now.
  6. I googled to download Smart Security , I ended up clicking on this link https://www.eset.com/kh/home/smart-security/download/ I clicked the Advanced Download and proceeded but I didn't realize this was v10
  7. Here you can find more details about both of them : https://support.eset.com/en/kb5552-enable-or-disable-eset-livegrid#whatIsLiveGrid https://help.eset.com/essp/15/en-US/idh_config_liveguard.html
  8. Sounds like idle scan kicks in?, might be that when your computer is idle , ESET will start scanning , did you open this option?
  9. I am sorry I tried to search , I didn't find anything related that helps , I believe an ESET staff will have more accurate answer than me since I am a user same as you I just tried to help.
  10. Take my advice or throw it in the ocean Go to Linux , better than sticking with un-supported Operating System , sooner or later every other software/company will stop supporting it If you really need Windows for work/gaming whatever reason , atleast go up to Windows 10.
  11. A firewall can help you more in this case I believe (hardware firewall), more than ESET Protect / Endpoints. You can set rules to which devices can take IPs and talk to internet and the rest to be blocked/refused.
  12. According to SecurityWeek website : It seems that ESET isn't affected, but for an official answer it is better to wait for an ESET Staff.
  13. You were in wrong place , or tried to download the feed file https://www.welivesecurity.com/feed It should prompt a download , which inside it you will read the news code as XML or feed whatever it is.
  14. Usually they password protect the Archives to prevent the scanners of these websites(file hosting) to detect the malicious software inside , because most of them use some kind of scanners , for example like Google Drive. First flag should be a password on TOR setup , second flag should be as ITMAN said to download from official websites.
  15. The suggestion for password was if there was a Terminal mode in NOD32 Desktop Edition , I thought there is , it is my mistake. By that way the GUI can only be started by Windows Administrator, and if changes were to be made to ESET settings , it will ask for a password, I know that even by setting the password it can be still seen.
  16. From your local admin , Go to ESET Settings and protect it with password and then hide the GUI to Terminal Then when logged in from normal local account , the normal user will not be able to see the GUI because it's hidden , and only can be started by an administrator(Run as Administrator) or from Administrator account run normally
  17. I think you have a mis-understandment here , it is not asking for CD-KEY of some kind , that's how I understood from the screenshot , it's asking for a Password that was set to protect ESET from being tampered with or uninstalled Your system Administrator has done this or the person who maintains the PC EDIT : I don't know how the Uninstall Code looks like , might look like a CD-KEY , I never worked with ESET Encyrption But here is more instructions : https://support.eset.com/en/kb7617-using-managed-uninstall-in-eset-endpoint-encryption
  18. https://www.eset.com/int/business/download/endpoint-antivirus-linux/ Clicking "Online help guide" directs to here https://help.eset.com/getHelp?product=eeau&version=9.1.4.0&lang=0 which gives Correct link is this https://help.eset.com/eeau/91/en-US/ or this https://help.eset.com/getHelp?product=eeau&version=9.1.4.0&lang=1033 (this second link is taken from AV GUI help link , but still redirects to 9.0 instead of 9.1 , because of the d.o.t.s , instead of '91') like this https://help.eset.com/getHelp?product=eeau&version=91&lang=1033
  19. You can try Smart Security for 30 days trial and then decide for yourself if it suits your needs.

  21. I am looking to sign the kernel module to use with Secure Boot as with it , ESET shuts down(real time protection doesn't function) Is the guide here all I need? : https://help.eset.com/eeau/9/en-US/secure_boot.html Thanks in advance.
