  1. Ron Another user, has explained the problem doesnt exist in ver 5, could possible swich to that as a temp. fix as im sure Eset is working on an update as well. I am assisting him with troubleshooting currently. https://forum.eset.com/topic/746-ess-6-startupnetwork-trouble/ Waiting on his event logs to determine what is causing the issue related to ess firewall. Good day !
  2. Sasomkd, Sorry you are having troubles. Would you be able to provide the following: 1. Manufacturor & Model of Phone you are using 2. Version of Android software 3. A list of running applications or installed applications
  3. Krunox, how are you doing ? Have you resolved your issue with the .net framework ? Hope all is well
  4. Since cookies are normally not malicious, Eset and nod32 engine has not detected cookies. Sometimes cookies are used for useful purposes. Maybe a feature in nod32 or SS could be enable or disable detection of tracking cookies. however this would be a lot, and i mean a lot of extra footwork for the company and developers to keep updated.
  5. Thank you Faraways, Awaiting your reply in PM for the entire System evtx ! Or at least a weeks worth. Thank you sir !
  6. Beat ya TGW ! LOL But thanks for your more organized instructions !! I think he should be capable of getting this done ! Cheers ~
  7. This was not hard to discover. See attached screen shots Keep in mind of the following: 1. To be used at your own discretion. 2. I do not represent Eset and Eset will not be held responsible for a change in registry that i suggested. 3. Back up your registry with export on those keys or entire Hive, before you make these changes and attempt repair. 4. When i make a registry change of similar action and reasoning, i like to rename vs Delete. ( Try adding a Tilde ~ as a Prefix to the keys vs Delete ) This may lead to a corrupted Nod32, or it may lead to full disable of the Document Protection. You could also rename the dll's of the plugin vs Registry edit as well. My intentions are to speed up your recovery of your system. I hop this helps, and please get back with us here to let us know. Should you choose to wait for Marcus on a definitive answer, my feelings wont be hurt. Good luck in recovering your OS
  8. Good stuff silijaline. I like the host file you provided.
  9. Sorry Zardoc, Sorry for any delays that you may have experienced or delays of communication. I am glad to see the issue is resolved in a future release. " This just means Eset is improving the quality of their products every time a new day goes by ". I wanted to ensure you that the rapport between company and customer is beginning to improve everyday. I recently had a chance to meet with a very responsible public relations manager for the company and he and his staff are initiating great things and ideas to improve customer service and connection. I dont speak for Eset, i am simply providing my personal outlook and opinion. With this new forum and the potential it has, i give a +1 to the moderators, specifically Marcos, Aryeh, and Dan, for taking the time to help and assist when needed. I hope you enjoy version 7 as i have.
  10. How are things coming Faraways ? Were you able to process and export your event viewer logs ? Also, i was under the impression your computer network tcpip stack was compromised. Are you stating you are ok, if you uninstall and return to version 5 ? Hope you get everything figured out ? Let us know.
  11. Krunox123, Good day sir, I am almost positive that your install is failing due to a .NET framework compatibility issue. Judging by your logs, you may need to install or reinstall or update your .net framework. Custom Action dll is a .NET Installer Class and that is what i keep seeing in your logs holding the error codes. Please ensure your system has the following and retry your installation: .Net 2.0 SP2 .NET 3.5 .NET 4.0 ( The framework i think you require for ESET ) - Client profile and extended Here are links for your convenience: hxxp://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 hxxp://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24872
  12. My fav is waterfox 64bit variant of Firefox. No issues in firefox
  13. Ok Faraways, First lets determine if this is profile based or system based. Please navigate to Control Panel > Users & create a new user account with member of admin group or admin permissions. Log out and log back in under that account and see if you still have the same delay obtaining IP from your gateway or router. If the problem persists, try this now : Lets have a look at a few things and try both of these from elevated command prompt netsh int ip reset netsh winsock reset Then Reboot and test again for the delay. If still persists, Go into the properties of your adapter and turn off IPv6 and QoS by unchecking them. Also click on Configure in the adapter properties and go to the Power Management tab to make sure the following isnt checked: "Allow your computer to turn this device off to save power" Sometimes the computer will turn the adapter off and it takes a moment to reinitialize when back in windows. Try a few of those and see if we get your delay fixed !!! I will be thinking of other things to try and maybe you could have a look at your services for me and check startup type Run > Services.msc Check services that assist with internet and tcp ip stack like.... dhcp client dns client ip helper ipsec policy agent network store interface service RPC tcpip netbios helper Check in properties for start up type and also the Recovery tab to see what actions the system takes upon error. After its all said and done and you still have the delay, i would ask that you open your event viewer and export the System and Application logs as .evtx files and upload them to a site and PM me the URL to view. Hope this helps and good luck with all your troubles. I will still be here to help or if you have questions. I dunno maybe i can remote in and take a look myself. If none of this helps and it were my machine i would system restore or try a repair with windows cd or possible reload because i would be frusterated haha Good luck
  14. Faraways, If you said that you uninstalled ESS and let Windows firewall take over, and you still have the same issue, its time we tried a few things to repair this strange issue, possibly and reluctantly caused by ESS Firewall. If you have not tried, lets reinstall your network adapter. Make sure you download your network adapter drivers from the Asus website prior to starting this process, so your good to go. Open Device Manager (Right click on Computer in Start menu, or My Computer and choose Properties) [Top left corner - choose Device Manager] Find Network Adapters in the list > Choose your Realtek Adapter for LAN, and Right click "Uninstall" - if prompted to keep driver, DO NOT. After its gone, at the top of Device manager, right click on your Computername and choose "Scan for hardware changes". Windows might try to reinstall the driver on its own, if possible skip this and use your asus driver downloaded from the site. Reboot, then see if your 1min problem of obtaining network access disappears ! Post back please. If you have already tried this, let me know and we will then look at your Adapter settings & Windows services for tcpip and their "startup type" and/or if any are missing/misconfigured Next.
  15. Thank you for your response sir !
  16. i love ccleaner. Good tool, best for temp file cleanup. I know better registry cleaners, but its not too shabby. I like the embedded programs and uninstall reference sections including startup as well.
  17. Ronxp I think this might apply to you as well : https://forum.eset.com/topic/736-latest-update-for-smart-security-crashes-application/#entry3610
  18. Faraways, See link provided please sir, https://forum.eset.com/topic/736-latest-update-for-smart-security-crashes-application/#entry3610
  19. Faraways, Good day and sorry to hear you're experiencing troubles ... Can you have a look at this thread and post back here if what this user is describing is exactly as you are experiencing ? https://forum.eset.com/topic/702-eset-ss-v6-delays-my-internet/ with that dns cache error you stated... , have you also cleared your dns cache and rebooted to see if that does anything ? It would be funny if the firewall, or upgrade or what have you, caused a dns mess and the cache just needs to be reset. I am shooting blind here though, please keep in mind as i dont know what you have tried.
  20. I would also like to add that ESET's beta's are a little different then other companies and beta versions of games etc. afaik version 7 is a borderline full working beta with not just new features, but "improvements and fixes". Your license should carry over as well, mine did. In due time the actual 7 will be released as well. Would love to hear this service error with your email program as well ?!? Maybe we can troubleshoot it back to whence it came.
  21. hxxp://ocz.com/consumer/revodrive-3-pcie-ssd Sounds like its about time for a new build for ya Swex
  22. You figure it out Swex ? It sounds like your fighting browser problems lol Clear that cache n junk etc
