I receive this message from time to time :- "Communication with driver HPS failed is inactive".

 

Could you please help in solving this problem?. Thank you.

I too am getting this message - however I am on Windows 7 not 10 so your response doesn't cover this.

Have been unable to install version 10 - gets to point and crashes out saying some file (not stated but presumably part of current version) is in use.  This problem described above is happening with version 9.0.402.0

Maybe self-defense didn't trust the new installer for some reason. It shouldn't happen if you uninstall v9 and install v10 from scratch as Self-defense would not be running in such case. Please drop me a pm and provide the output from ESET Log Collector. Even in case of upgrade or uninstall issues using the Uninstall tool in safe mode should fix it.
