ESS v9.0 says update has not been run yet

The main GUI of ESS v9.0 informs me that no update has been run, yet if I manually run the update I'm informed the program is up to date

Does switching to pre-release updates help? You can switch back to regular updates then.

if you restart your computer the update information will be resetted

I've been having this issue with all of the v9 builds. On both of the PCs I installed it on. Sometimes it will show a time, but most of the time it just says it has never been updated. I'm assuming it is a GUI bug.

  Over the last couple of days ESET, after update runs, states that update has not been run yet. I don't know if this is the same issue mentioned here by others but I would like to know why it does this and how to fix it. Thank You JN

I'm sure it is the same issue and it has persisted since they released 9 with the hew UI. Not all of the time, but more often than it actually has the correct info. The public beta of v10 Internet Security does the same thing. Not sure if or when they are going to fix it, but as a cosmetic issue (mostly) I'm sure it has a very low priority. Unfortunately.
