Damjan 11
Hello. On your website for the collection of updated modules it still says (UTC/GMT +01:00) instead of (UTC/GMT +02:00) as of 3/31/2024. From 31.3.2024, the clock moved to summer time (UTC/GMT +02:00)
Most Valued Members cyberhash 194 Posted April 1 Most Valued Members Share Posted April 1 I think GMT is just shown for a baseline and the +1:00 is in relation to where the ESET HQ is. TheStill
Solution itman 1,746 Posted April 1 Solution Share Posted April 1 Slovakia observes daylight savings time. As such, update times effective 3/31 should be UTC/GMT +02:00; Quote In Slovakia, the standard time is Central European Time (UTC+01:00).[1] Daylight saving time is observed from the last Sunday in March (02:00 CET) to the last Sunday in October (03:00 CEST).[2][3] This is shared with several other EU member states.[4] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_in_Slovakia
Most Valued Members cyberhash 194 Posted April 1 Most Valued Members Share Posted April 1 (edited) When dayliight saving time is adjusted there is still only 1 hour difference. This is the time difference between the UK and Slovakia. Because the DST time changes in both these countries it is still only 1 Hour and always will be. ESET HQ would need to be further east , like Ukraine etc for it to be +2 hours. Edited April 1 by cyberhash
ESET Moderators TomasP 318 Posted April 3 ESET Moderators Share Posted April 3 Thank you for the report, @Damjan, the data is now fixed. @cyberhash The "+1" offset is not compared to the UK, though, but to UTC/GMT time, which does not shift for daylight saving (time in the UK is the same as UTC/GMT only during the "winter" half of the year). So the green zone from your map is UTC/GMT+2 during daylight saving time (CET becomes CEST), while the blue zone (UK including) is officially UTC/GMT+1 (British Summer Time). Most Valued Members cyberhash 194 Posted April 3 Most Valued Members Share Posted April 3 @TomasPI was always under the impression that central Europe was +1 ahead of the UK, regardless of the season/time of the year. Looks like brussels(eu govt) wants to get that changed by 2026 just to add more confusion 😂

That is indeed true, we are always 1 hour ahead of the UK. But that's not what the "+1" refers to 🙂 In winter, UK is on GMT and we are on GMT+1. In summer, UK is on GMT+1 and we are on GMT+2. The difference is always one, but the time zone name refers to GMT, rather than UK time. Peter Randziak
