Hey guys

Have noticed behavior that is probably worth your attention; perhaps forwarding to the product team would be a good idea. After the removal of ESET Smart Security, the product remains registered in Windows Security app in the snoozed state, thus leaving the user without antivirus protection. In this scenario, Defender should automatically be enabled once the uninstallation is complete, as the removed product has detached itself from all system settings. But this doesn't happen due to a potential error in the communication between ESET and WSC. After removing ESET, Defender can't be turned on, even manually. At least one reboot is required. I've got a video, but not sure how I can share it.

It was reproduced on the up-to-date Win11 23H2 with the latest version of ESET SS downloaded from the official site.

I don't think this is a general problem. Windows 11 23H2 is several months old and even if this issue was not found during pre-release QA tests, it would have been reported by many users after the release which is not the case. Please raise a support ticket for assistance with further troubleshooting.

IMO this scenario isn't common, because /I assume/ most users choose reboot after uninstalling the product. Other users may simply don't check the status of antivirus protection after removing a 3rd party AV product. I don't need troubleshooting... my purpose was to notify the product team about a potential issue...
