Administrators Marcos 4,922 Posted January 13, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 13, 2015 1, make sure you have a valid username and password entered 2, make sure that your EAV updates properly 3, if you use a 3rd party firewall, try disabling it for a test. Administrators Marcos 4,922 Posted January 14, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 14, 2015 The Username and Password settings are empty in your exported configuration xml file so updates shouldn't work either. Apparently you're using a cracked version of v8. Please continue as follows: 1, Purchase a license at hxxp://www.eset.com/purchase. 2, Uninstall your current ESS. 3, Download ESS Live Installer from www.eset.com and install it. 4, Activate ESS using your username and password. Afterwards ESET Live Grid should work alright.
rugk 397
@Marcos I think it's normal that you get an 501 error when accessing the servers in the browser. At least I get the same error although ESET LiveGrid is fully working...
Administrators Marcos 4,922 Posted January 15, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 15, 2015 @Marcos I think it's normal that you get an 501 error when accessing the servers in the browser. At least I get the same error although ESET LiveGrid is fully working... The reason why I asked was to make sure that access to the servers was not blocked by a firewall for instance. And yes, if there was no problem the OP should have gotten error 501. Of course, there could have been a rule that would block access just for ekrn.exe. At any rate, the issue turned out to be caused by the use of a cracked version.
