rherzog 0
Some time ago, I got a warning to upgrade my ESET installation. For the time being, I have 8.0.304.0 version of Smart Security 8. But I get warnings from both Windows (I have Windows 7) and McAfee Security Scan that I have no antivirus protection ! How can I make sure I have a legitimate ESET installation? ESET Moderators TomasP 318 Posted December 29, 2014 ESET Moderators Share Posted December 29, 2014 Seems like just the information about the presence of our antivirus solution is missing in Windows' Security Center. Does reinstalling ESET Smart Security help?
SweX 871
You should get rid of McAfee.
Solution TomFace 539 Posted December 29, 2014 Solution Share Posted December 29, 2014 (edited) You should get rid of McAfee. Like SweX said, remove McAfee hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN146 (if you use an uninstaller you may need to re-install your ESET product) hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2788&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1419865428979 You may want to look at this Knowledgebase item. hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN217&actp=search&viewlocale=en_US&searchid=1419862710584 Edited December 30, 2014 by TomFace
