User 13
I have a new router which supports IPv6. Should I activate IPv6 or stick with IPv4 as I do not need additional IP adresses? Also there are rumours that with activated IPv6 there are additional security risks.
rugk 397
At first not only your router but also your device that is connected to the router must support IPv6. But almost all newer devices support IPv6. You of course not need additional IP-adresses (or have you a few million devices in your LAN? ). You have to see this worldwide. And there aren't any security risks with IPv6 generally. In ESS 7 there's currently a small issue but this will be fixed in the next major release.
