Tim Wiser 0
Hi, We have just taken on a new customer who has ESET File Security installed on their server. When we remove it it's asking for an uninstall password which the previous IT supplier did not supply. This is on a server and we're remote so we can't really use the ESET force removal utility as we can't risk losing network connectivity. Is there any way around the uninstall password? Tim. Administrators Marcos 4,720 Posted July 11, 2019 Administrators Share Posted July 11, 2019 If the machine is managed through ESMC, you can apply a policy that will remove the password (set an empty one). If not managed yet, you could install ESMC Agent and start managing it. Otherwise it'd be necessary to uninstall ESET in safe mode which you could not afford.
