could not install client:

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I have ERA server 6.3.136 version. I have installed agent on new machine without problems.

After i tried to install antivirus on that machine i received an error: failed to connect to the licensing server

I removed eny liecences and add file liecence for ERA and synced my liecence with security portal. It synced successfully. But i still cant`t install antivirus with the same error.

Could you please help me?

After i tried to install antivirus on that machine i received an error: failed to connect to the licensing server

Please try to remove your license from the License manager in ERA and add it again. Then create a new activation task.

In case you get errors connecting to a licensing server, please make sure that clients as well as the ESMC server can communicate with ESET's EDF servers besides others necessary for proper functioning of other protection features. For a list of addresses and ports that must be allowed on a firewall, please refer to https://support.eset.com/kb332.

Also we strongly recommend upgrading ERA to the latest version available (ESMC v7 or at least ERA 6.5 if you can't upgrade to ESMC yet, e.g. due to certification).

As i wrote: I removed eny liecences and add file liecence for ERA and synced my liecence with security portal. It synced successfully. But i still cant`t install antivirus with the same error.

If i try to create task: client product activation, i have the same error: could not connect to liecencing server.

PS: i have NAT and have NOT any outbound filters in firewall

It`s impossible to create install task on ERA. The error popups before adding a target computer. Faild to connect to liecensing server.

Out of curiosity, can your machine access the Internet?    If not,  then you've created a license from the EBA without including the necessary deployment token from ERA.   IIRC, you need to specify the appropriate token and include that into the license (via EBA).

I think that's what it is.  It's been some time since I've touched any ERA < 6.5.
