Unsupported macOS version

Recommended Posts

Getting a pop-up on a 10.12.6 endpoint. It says, "Unsupported macOS version. This ESET product does not support your current version of MacOS 10.12.6.

The endpoint is running the latest version of both agent and AV (6.5.376.0 and 6.5.600.1, respectively).

The GUI cannot be opened or manipulated, as this error continues to pop up.

We're running v.6.5.600.1 successfully on later Mac OS's, including High Sierra/10.13

What gives with this error?

Hello @j-gray

hmm strange, macOS 10.12.6 should be fully supported by the latest version.

Can you please try it with the RC version, available at http://ftp.nod.sk/~mego/RC/ ?

If the issue persists, please collect the logs with https://support.eset.com/kb3404/ and send me a private message with the download link and reference to this thread to check.

Regards, P.R.

I have to say that with the OS X client I feel like an unpaid Beta Tester...

Rather than bang my head against the wall some more, I uninstalled and reinstalled the client which resolved the issue. Hopefully it does not turn into a recurring issue.

Hi.

Having the same problem, only with the 10.13.4. macOS. Whenever I try to open ESET, it displays this message: "This ESET product does not support your current version of macOS 10.13.3. Please download the latest update from ESET website" and I can't even open the app. I accessed the ESET website and the troubleshooting they have there recommends to allow ESET on the security settings. However, when I access the security settings on my mac, ESET doesn't appear as blocked. Can anyone help? I'm worried that ESET might not be working at all and I can't even open ESET to run a scan...

Thanks!

Please follow the instructions posted by Peter Randziak above.
