  1. Hello Ryan and welcome to the Forum. Glad you are here! Usually the link to ESET Log Collector would be in-bedded in the ELC link in Marcos' post. But there seems to be an issue with that. So here is the link to the ELC link in KB land (ESET Knowledgebase) https://support.eset.com/kb3466/ Once you gather the logs, you can send them to Marcos via a PM (personal message). To do so, just hover over his name (while logged in) and select "Message". If the logs are too large to PM them, you'll need to upload them to a cloud service (i.e...like Microsoft OneDrive...or whatever platform you choose to use) and then send him the link. Best regards. Tom
  2. You can review this KB. https://support.eset.com/kb141/ Best regards. Tom
  3. I'm bad...Sorry I missed the "endpoint" caveat. Perhaps the KB library would be of help to you. https://support.eset.com/ Best regards. Tom
  4. Hello smuggler.ie. See if this KB helps a little bit. https://support.eset.com/kb3186/ Best regards. Tom
  5. Hello Pieter. Are the "unable to open" files listed as "system volume information" and they appear in a yellow/amber color? If so, it's OK...take a look at this KB https://support.eset.com/kb2155/ Or is it something entirely different? If so, a screen shot would help. Best regards. Tom
  6. For some reason the ELC link in Marcos' post is not working (at least for me). Here's the KB link https://support.eset.com/kb3466/
  7. Hello AJZ...as far as a Procmon log see Marcos' post of 9/11/18 https://forum.eset.com/topic/16750-win64coinminerdn/?tab=comments#comment-82842 As far as uninstalling and re-installing ESET, you should not have any issue with your license. https://support.eset.com/kb2788/?_ref=zap
  8. Hello esset. You might want to take a look at this KB article. It might help. https://help.eset.com/essp/11.1/en-US/idh_config_alert.html I try to make it a habit to review my log files once in a while to look for anything unusual. One more thought, you might also want to check your "cleaning levels" (in all scans) to be sure you have them set the way you want to. https://help.eset.com/essp/11.1/en-US/work_avas_realtime_cleaning.html
  9. You can find older versions of ESET EIS/ESS/NOD here https://support.eset.com/kb2885/ Best regards.
  10. This is an English language Forum...please post in English so we can understand your message.
  11. YOU HAVE NOW TAKEN THIS TO A NEW LEVEL OF DISGUST ... talk about a lack of intelligence, no reputable member of this Forum goes out to incite others needlessly. But "novice" chooses to do so. If "novice" were trying to improve ESET's performance, I would think that going through proper channels would be in order. But "novice" has not chosen that course. "novice" has been a member of this Forum since July 20, 2013. If according to "it's" information, "it" purchases a 3 year license, the said license would have (assuming "it" joined the Forum at the time "it" purchased the license) would have expired in 2016/17. And if "it" spent 300 CAD on a 3 year ESET license, "it's" not very intelligent. I can buy a 3 year ESS license for under $100 (and actually cheaper) But yet "it", "novice", is still around. Why could that be? It's because "novice" is a troll...plain and simple. There is no point in trying to have an intelligent discussion with "it". The only purpose for a troll to exist is to raise havoc wherever "it" chooses to live. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll So please, do not feed the troll. In the "Grand Scheme" of life, trolls hold little, if any, significance. Just ignore them.
  12. It's just more fresh baked "meadow muffins" from the master baker "novice" .
  13. "When we see men of worth, we should think of equaling them; when we see men of a contrary character, we should turn inwards and examine ourselves."... Confucius Needless to say, I am reflecting inwards. Best regards, Tom
  14. Why am I hesitant to accept your "apology" when all one has to do is look at your post history? ************************ I see 1 person consistently complaining...others may be asking but they are also new...they haven't been around since 2013. If it's that bad, why are you still here? Since 2013 a 3 year license would have expired once by now. But you are still here. ************************ Labeled as a troll? Everyone can just look it up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll *********************** A child? None of us are that stupid. ******************************** novice, unlike you, I take no pleasure in having these exchanges. As a matter of fact, they cause me quite a bit of pain. There is no joy in TomFaceville in writing this. As TomasP posted, you (for the moment) are not being censored. Knowing that, I will not partake in the Forum as I once did. My rubber boots are only so high. So unless someone else reins you in, I guess you have free range. TTFN Tom P.S... Happy ITLAPD to everyone! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Talk_Like_a_Pirate_Day
  15. That's great....Folks, like you, need to chase the ideal of making things better for all. If you have the knowledge, please share it! Best regards Hands and take care! Tom P.S...By the way, I have referred this entire thread to the ESET Mods as it may be a violation of the Forum rules, specifically #15 https://forum.eset.com/topic/76-rules-of-the-eset-security-forum/ It's their call....not mine. I'm just a User.
  16. Have you considered contacting the ESET folks directly via their official channels? see https://www.eset.com/us/about/contact/ And if I were ESET, I am not sure how I would rate the creditability of other videos that you "obtained from other sources". All one has to do is go to the Youtube website to question the validity of ANY videos. That being said, I am sure if you have useful suggestions for ESET contact them directly or go to https://forum.eset.com/topic/51-future-changes-to-eset-internet-security-and-eset-smart-security-premium/ and post your suggestions. In the meanwhile, please don't feed the trolls. It's just a suggestion.
  17. novice is just a troll. Keep that in mind. Knowing that, value it's input accordingly.
  18. I run EIS on a Win 7 X64 machine. The only other A/V programs I have are on demand EEK and HitmanPro. I also run regular in-depth scan. In the past month or so, my scan times have increased from about 2.25 hours to over 3 hours. I have a current scan still running now passing 6.5 hours. This (the over 4 hour threshold seems to happen every few days). What gives? The scan count has not significantly changed (always about 2.2M). Could someone (a Mod preferable) please assist? I have not opened a ticket as of yet. Best regards, Tom
  19. One place to start are the WeLiveSecurity and ESET Technologies tabs at the top of the Forum pages.
  20. Hello Richard and welcome to the Forum. We are glad you are here. I don't know what Trance music is , but if you enjoy it, more power to you. This Forum is a nice place to visit and learn things. My goal is to learn something new every day. ESET is a top notch A/V offering. I hope you enjoy your visits. Best regards.
  21. Thank you Marcos. I was wondering when NOD32 grew a firewall.
  22. Doesn't ALT + F4 also close pop up windows? And of course, do not click anywhere on the pop up window.
  23. You're probably OK. But as nothing in this world is 100% (including all A/V programs), you could always do a 2nd opinion scan. HitmanPro does offer a 30 day free trial (don't get the HitmanPro.Alert as it conflicts with ESET in my experience) or you could always try Emsisoft Emergency Kit (again another freebie).
  24. It works for me. Even though I have noticed of late (the past 30 days or so), the scan times increasing. It went from about 2.25 hours to about 3 (or so) hours for an in-depth scan. But I'll save that for another thread or trouble ticket.
