  1. To OP. Just saw this. https://www.engadget.com/2020/01/10/mozilla-firefox-critical-vulnerability-update/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9ndWNlLmVuZ2FkZ2V0LmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAALJYngiK4IxhPo-IkNc72itPKY2b-ZIMHElQMFX6EW2Rzcm4NEfaYWHbkv-LlxAIJTxH1-KjNgfkBw8jEzUyXdG9RibLRDeB4RiktitmC918qteD4Kj5FqnEyRxvH3_IKRbScwiI2F50qc6hcs96M_0lPwRYBJbeMF1o4lCVsGvt
  2. I never said to use it as a real-time AV protection. I said to run it because it will find things that Eset will not find. I stand by that statement as that is my experience working on PC's.
  3. And you have that right. I respectfully disagree with you.
  4. You had a suggestion to run Malwarebytes. Did you ever run it? Malwarebytes can find malware that Eset can not find. Have you had anyone remote into your laptop recently? If no and you do not have malware then you have a hardware issue. I would return/exchange the laptop.
  5. I also have this issue with my laptop that is still running Windows 7. The icon is there about 50% of the time. Other times I have no idea where it went. Sometimes a reboot will bring it back. Other times nothing will. I love Eset and have been using it for years. But this issue is extremely annoying. Please fix it. I have also verified that the icon is not hidden.
  6. I can't remember exactly where you need to put the new license key. I believe I did it through the actual program and not the website. I do exactly the same as you. I wait until Newegg has it on sale and I buy it and update the license key each year. The only thing I would suggest is to wait until your current license is about to expire. I have made the mistake in the past of inputting the new key into the program too early. If you do so you will lose the remaining time on your current license. It's happened to me twice before. I now wait until the day my current license expires.
