"Eset Internet Security" has less features than "Eset Smart Security". less features -> most features: "Eset Internet Security" -> "Eset Smart Security" (new license no longer available) -> "Eset Smart Security Premium"

Multi Device Security 2016 and earlier contained "Eset Smart Security", but Multi Device Security now contains only "Eset Internet Security": https://www.eset.com/de/home/products/multi-device-security/ So is it dependant on the license key if "Eset Smart Security (non-Premium)" can be used or only "Eset Internet Security"? I bought 2 packets "Eset Multi Device Security 2016" for 5 devices last month from amazon.de and it explicitly states that "Eset Smart Security" is included. Also very confusing: On the comparison page "Anti Theft" is included in "Multi Device Security", but "Anti Theft" is not included in "Eset Internet Security", only in "Eset Smart Security Premium".

Still no change.

Since yesterday the last update column in the task scheduler is empty (I think it occured since the configuration module was updated to ver. 1308.6. Is this just an optical glitch or a security risk?

After intensive research I was able to solve the problem for the moment by deleting the following folder: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Crypto\RSA\MachineKeys

If SSL scanning in ESET is deactivated, then there is no problem. If SSL scanning is activated the problem occurs, and it makes no difference if integration in Windows Live Mail in ESET is activated or not.

I switched from pre-release updates to regular updates and the result is the same. So it is not Internet Protection Module 1275B, which is causing the problem. Only deactivation of SSL scanning and restart of Windows Live Mail resolves the issue.

Problem is still not solved for me (Win 7 Ultimate 64bit). This means sometimes I have to reboot my main PC once nor twice, so that ESET deactivates Windows firewall.

Problem is back with Internet Protection Module 1275B. This time it's on every second attempt to check for Mail, so one check is OK, then the next fails with that error, next is OK again, then error again.

Yes, the German version program update 9.0.402.1 was available early afternoon CET today.

Is this only for English version? I have ESS German version 9.0.386.1 and no update is offered when I click "program update".

Where can version 9.0.396.x be downloaded?

For about 3 days now I get constant warnings on that German site. The site admin says it is a false positive. Virustotal analysis

An update to version 9.0.386.1 did resolve the issue for me.

I investigated further and I am sure that this problem is caused by the pre-release module updates of Monday morning or early afternoon 18.07.2016 CET (maybe the configuration module). I switched back to regular updates and rebooted the PC and the problem is gone. When I switch back to pre-release updates and reboot the PC, I again have the empty fields (see picture in first posting). The pre-release module updates on Monday also deactivated notifications about succesful updates in the transparent window bottom right.

With newest update I mean newest virus signature database (13824P). Yesterday early morning and before this never occured.

It's a general problem of version 9 that some users have and it still has not been fixed by ESET, see this thread
