root 3 Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 Why Livieguard (guard, not grid) is still not available for MacOS ? v. Endpoint Security - 6.11.616.0 (I guess it is new version for Sonoma) and still LiveGuard is not available...
Administrators Marcos 5,736 Posted October 10, 2023 Administrators Posted October 10, 2023 Unfortunately it is not planned any time soon due to other features with higher priority. Also OSX applications are typically much bigger which can be a problem.
ESET Staff Robertos 76 Posted October 19, 2023 ESET Staff Posted October 19, 2023 LiveGuard is actually not in V6, neither V7 builds. It will be added later into V7 only, next year. It won't be added into V6.
root 3 Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 @Robertos but V7 is Antivirus, not Endpoint, currently. So why users with lower (and cheaper) version will be equipped with more functionality ?
Administrators Marcos 5,736 Posted October 19, 2023 Administrators Posted October 19, 2023 V6 is in limited support and as such is not developed any more: https://support-eol.eset.com/en/policy_business/product_tables.html V7 with added features will be available in the future. root 3 Posted October 19, 2023 Author Posted October 19, 2023 @Marcos does it mean v7 will be "Endpoint equipped" (for example antispam and others) and in fact will subseqent v6 or Endpoint will be simply retired with no alternative, and only Antivirus (v7) available ?
ESET Staff Robertos 76 Posted October 19, 2023 ESET Staff Posted October 19, 2023 Yes, plan is to have only one version of the product of version 7+ containing all relevant feature contained by v6 Endpoint Security. Currently v7 contains features only from V6 Antivirus. More will be added later.
