"OPSWAT" folder on users desktops

Recommended Posts

Recently enabled Eset Protect Vulnerability & Patch Management. Now I've noticed multiple users with a folder named "OPSWAT" with debug files inside.

Is this normal/expected? If so, is there a way to delete and disable this?

Thank you!

Yes it is expected, see for example this announcement for details https://www.eset.com/int/about/newsroom/press-releases/products/eset-announces-significant-updates-for-eset-protect-platform-to-help-businesses-keep-ahead-of-attack-1/

I'm checking, I will post an update once I receive the info.

Hello @DawltonH,

in the past there was a bug, which might have caused it but it is already fixed.
If the issue still occurs, there is not way to disable it as of now, but we have a case opened with the vendor on it.
