Offline license activation via ECMD does not work anymore.

For our network implementation we use the offline license files to activate ESET Antivirus or Endpoint security depends on the network topology.

However with version 10..0.2034.0 release when we do that same command we get: Error Executing command.

Has this procedure changed? We can't find it in the release note of this version release. As it is a very large group that we manage by doing it like this we definitely need this to work.

Up to version 9 that was possible :)

You can install and activate license using Win installer via cmd prompt/script:

Quote

msiexec /qn /i ees_nt64_enu.msi ACTIVATION_DATA=key:AAAA-BBBB-CCCC-DDDD-EEEE

-or-

 msiexec /qn /i ees_nt64_enu.msi ACTIVATION_DATA=offline:C:\ProgramData\ESET\ESET\Security\license.lf

I didn't see anywhere in the write-up: https://help.eset.com/ees/8/en-US/installation_command_line.html where activation of an installed product could be done.

I don't think it was ever possible. The possibility to activate ESET via ecmd is not described in help files for Endpoint v9 either:

Just looked up in my old email , it was implemented for on in 2015, I have the email from Michal Jankech about this :)

Hello @Glitch absence of this functionality is due to a bug. It will be fixed in next hotfix of EP 10.
