You cannot use ESET for Gmail as Gmail uses it's own servers and probably they have their own kind of security or protections ESET plugin for Outlook will work with whatever email you put in , it's designed to work with Outlook as plugin for scanning and protecting. With that exploits you are not vulnerable in Outlook , but not updated exchange servers are vulnerable to the exploits.
