JM-CISSP 0
I am updating computers with the latest eset software but about 100 computers are reporting the updates are failing due to disk space. To resolve this, I have to remote control on to each PC and make space, usually by running "clear update cache" under the egui advanced setup. To save time, is there any way to run "clear update cache" from the Eset management center? Also, can this be set up to run on a regular basis by a policy or schedule to run as a task? Administrators Marcos 4,919 Posted December 18, 2020 Administrators Share Posted December 18, 2020 Clearing update cache should never be required otherwise having cache would defeat its purpose. Moreover, it should not be used as a way to free up some disk space. Please make sure there is always at least 0,5-1 GB of free space on the disk without the need to clear update cache. ESET Staff MichalJ 430 Posted December 18, 2020 ESET Staff Share Posted December 18, 2020 When creating a new client task, in ESMC / ESET PROTECT, you can choose "security product / modules update" and then within the settings, you can check the box "clear update cache". That should do the trick.
