Hi Ahmed,

Can you please clarify "...make path for every employee computer..."?

As stated, I understand that you are trying to create a mirror for every computer on network...

Hello,

In ERA, check Tools > Server Options > Updates

Does it say update finished ?

Do you have 2221 port open on client computer and server?

License entered in ERA ? If not, username entered in client setup ?

Does it say update finished ? yes it give me finished

Do you have 2221 port open on client computer and server?yes i make firewall setting in two computers client and server off exception port 2221

License entered in ERA ? If not, username entered in client setup ?

If you enter "hxxp://192.168.1.10:2221" in a browser on a client, will this open a window with the mirror content?

i go to client then write server ip then folder that have update sharec it is ok working from client browser

\\192.168.1.10\mirror

my questions is :

1- i using "hxxp://192.168.1.10:2221" not working i test \\192.168.1.10\mirror direct it is ok success reached from client computer to server

The following needs to be verfied:

In ERA , go to Tools > Licene manager

Under currently loaded server license, check that you have your active license there. Choose Details to see your Endpoint license.

If not, click Browse above and find the EAVEndpoint.lic that came in your email after purchase.

Once this is complete, open Tools > Policy manager.

Expand the windows desktop version 5

Also expand through Update > Profile(my profile) > Settings

String for update server should be as you stated previously "hxxp://192.168.1.10:2221"

For username, leave blank, password leave blank.

Click the save icon on your policy manager above. Close Policy manager.

RIght click one of your clients in the clients pane of ERA, and choose Set Policy and the policy we just editted, or server policy if default.

IF you havent started using policys in ERA yet, i recommend ensuring the other settings are good for that policy before deploy to all clients. Just push to one.

Whenever your client reconnects to ERA usually within 10 min, it will absorb that policy and then the next update session which is usually within an hour should be good to go and working now. You can RDP to client and try manual update which should go through as well give or take 10 minutes.

If you don't use policy at all, place the same settings into the Update portion of the client manually.

Let us know if this helps for your updating issues, or if it is already ground you covered.

1. Try here : hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2716

You don't add clients to the client portion tab, they show up automatically after adding the setting in the clients.

If by Policy then see here:  hxxp://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN962

You simply need to add under the windows desktop section, the corrent RA settings.

2. If using http, the first string will allow you to use IIS and access ERA from a browser. Your second one is actually a backdoor connection to the directory.

hxxp:// 192.168.1.10:2221 This one is HTTP application layer protocol, usually on port 80 and we use this in the browser. This is how we access the web server portion.

The other one is UNC

hxxp://compnetworking.about.com/od/windowsnetworking/g/unc-name.htm

If your putting in the server for Remote Administration using ERA Console into the client, it will not be http, it will be : "192.168.X.X" And the port should be already inside the next textbox to the right. 2222

If you setting up the update feature, it will be "hxxp:// 192.168.1.10:2221 "

See ESET used ports also.

  • ESET Moderators

Hello,

it sounds like a firewall issue to me, please try to disable all firewalls between client and the server temporarily, on the server as well.

Are you able to update, or do you still get the download interrupted error message?

Have a look at my picture attached.

Do you have it setup like mine ?

" mirror\ "

Or did you enter this :

" C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ESET\ESET Remote Administrator\Server\ "

Thank you please answer. :)
