As far as I know the only thing is some browsers do not support banking protection but all browsers are protected by the general features

Only a few selected browsers are supported by default in regards to TLS filtering (https).

If you want the communication by Brave browser to be scanned, it must be explicitly setup to Scan, please refer to https://help.eset.com/eav/13/en-US/idh_config_epfw_ssl_app.html
In addition, if after this change there are errors in Brave browser related to certificates, it's likely it does not use the Windows OS to verify web servers certificates. In this case, please refer to Root certificate at https://help.eset.com/eav/13/en-US/idh_config_epfw_ssl.html

Eset used to provide a secure browser for banking etc.  It was a version of Internet Explorer which is very out of date.  Is there a more up to date recommended browser or a support document with suggested settings for Microsoft Edge version 80...?

The new version of Edge based on Chromium should work as a secure browser alright.
