Aceleroo 0 Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 When I open email messages in Outlook, to read, and close again, the modified date is changed. Microsoft claim not to change these, and that antivirus products such as ESET Antivirus makes the change. I've found some ESET settings to turn off modifying access date in files (NTFS filesystem) but I can't see any options to stop tampering with any email timestamps. Please test for me and find out if it's ESET that's making the changes, or not?
Administrators Marcos 5,469 Posted February 12, 2020 Administrators Posted February 12, 2020 I'm not sure if an Outlook plugin can change the timestamp after scanning and modifying an email message. Have you tried disabling scanning of read email?
