M. Schwager 0 Posted November 13, 2019 Posted November 13, 2019 Hello, We are using ESET since version 5.x and now updating to version 7 on your virtual appliance for hyper-v. The system running fine and now we want to update to newer version but can't do so. The update task is waiting for connection but nothing happends. Here are some pics: I have found a task that uninstall ESET Management Agent 7.0.471.0 successful. How can I reinstall the Agent on the ESMC server again? How can I manually update ESMC VA from shell? thx a lot Marcus thx for help
ESET Staff MartinK 384 Posted November 13, 2019 ESET Staff Posted November 13, 2019 I would recommend to check documentation for VA migration or upgrade. During this process, new appliance is deployed (with newly installed AGENT) and whole database is migrated, i.e. all our data as available in ESMC console should be retained.
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted November 13, 2019 ESET Staff Posted November 13, 2019 Also, your machine seems to not be connecting for a pretty long time. I would troubleshoot that first
M. Schwager 0 Posted November 13, 2019 Author Posted November 13, 2019 Thx for information link. I try now to install/upgrade like a "normal" linux installtion and since now the server/webconsole is up to date. Only the agent (I found the way/paper to install a linux agent) doesn't want to update automatic by clicking in ESMC. So I'll try later to upgrade agent also locally. For now we are testing the new Server and webconsole and at first sight it looks be nicer, feels good to handle and right-click-menu are also better. BTW upgrade to newer Hyper-V VA is not so easy for us to implement our special domain structure (The last config took 3 days). CLOSE BRGDS Marcus
