Hallo

I'm working with a "Asus Memopad HD 7" and actually a "ESET Mobile Security for Android" Premium Try Version.

Everything's fine except missing the Function "Anti Theft".

It's not in the Tool in the Mobile Device, neither do i find it anywhere online ?

What's wrong ?

I think in order to use that feature the device requires SMS capability, you send a text to the device's number to lock/locate it.

My Kindle is the same in that the eset app doesn't have the anti theft capability.

Thank's, your right - just found this:

"HINWEIS: Die Anti-Theft-Funktion funktioniert nicht auf Tablets, die keine Textnachrichten unterstützen."

This says exactly what you äusseres - that's a big

minus, because nearly every other Tool works with Internet Search....

Only the new Beta 3.0 of Mobile Security currently has the Anti-theft.

When 3.0 is release we will be able to take advantage of Anti-Theft.

Wait until EMS update problems are solved and try the new beta:"The new BETA version has an improved user interface and full integration of Anti-Theft into the web interface at my.eset.com." That should work with tablets too.

Is this also available via the eset website as Kindle users can't access/use the Google store?

Hi,

My quick answer would be probably not on the Kindles.

You can remove the Kindle OS and install Andoid, by method of rooting or using the N2Aos.

Of course my quick answer is not reliable, and i would defer to ESET Staff on the definitive answer. :)

Would prefer not to root my device just to get anti-theft. Will await the official release.

Any idea, when the offical release will come out ?

And (maybe a silly Question, but as im new on Android) will it be  a kind of Update via Google Play Store ?

So will i be informed automaticly ?

I don't know as I use the version from the official eset website as I can buy the premium version; I couldn't using the Amazon app version.
