Spikey020 0
I received a notification from ESET today that there was a possible network attack whilst on my laptop, and that there was a duplicate IP address on the network, the IP address that was shown is that from my TV box that is also connected to my modem as I have TV and internet from the same provider. In the ESET logs it shows the ARP protocol for the attack. When I checked the IP addresses there was no conflict, my laptop and the TV box have different IP addresses so I don't understand why I got this message Any advice appreciated Edited September 30, 2018 by Spikey020

Spikey020 0
I don't have a screenshot of the actual error as it hasn't happened since, but here is a screenshot of the log files from eset, hope this helps
itman 1,786
Since it hasn't happened again, it could have been due to a "hiccup" on your router, etc.. If it repeatedly reoccurs, you might have to exclude the internal IP address from Eset IDS monitoring. Below are a couple of links to Eset knowledge base articles on how to do that: https://support.eset.com/kb2933/ https://support.eset.com/kb2939/
