Cannot finish backup while Internet Security is on

Hello,

over quite some time I have a problem, when system is trying to perform backup it starts but it never finishes. When I turn off IS then backup is performing without any problem.

Could you help me out?

what solution do you use to back up your system?

Can you try to disable the real-time protection to see, if you are able to complete the backup without it?

Do you mean that it works when real-time protection is paused? Because it is not possible to turn off protection unless you rename ekrn.exe in safe mode or uninstall ESET.

I select 30min pause on all protection when I click on eset icon on task bar.

What about temporarily pausing only real-time protection?

Trying it now, will let you know as soon as i find out.

 

Update.. It worked with turned off real time only.

You didn't mention what sw you use for backup. Would it be possible to try a different one to see if the same issue occurs?

At any rate, I'd suggest contacting customer care and providing them with a Procmon log from an issue replication as well as ELC logs gathered from that machine.
