Did you activate a 30-day trial license after installation in the product? The above trial license is registered to 3xxxxxx5@axxxxxxxxxxxxt.top. Trial licenses don't require an ESET HOME account, just fill in the trial license activation form after installation and the trial license will activate automatically.

Try temporarily re-enabling SHA1 support by running:
update-crypto-policies --set DEFAULT:SHA1
Then enable advanced security as per https://support.eset.com/en/kb7930.

Automatic update is available on the pre-release update channel and will be enabled gradually for users in the following days and weeks. In the mean time, you can update Endpoint in a managed environment via a software install task from ESET PROTECT.

When creating a software install task, you can choose the maximum time for which the user can postpone the reboot or if they can cancel it. You can also send a Shutdown (reboot) computer task to force a reboot.
ESET PROTECT (cloud) also allows for sending a Product upgrade task which will upgrade the product via the so-called micro PCU update the next time the user restarts the machine and it's resilient to installation issues or errors.

- Enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support
- Reproduce the issue
- Stop logging
- Collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive here.

The verification email was sent to the license owner's email address saxxxxxxxxxro@sxxo.pt who must click the verification link to enable you to add the license to your ESET HOME account.

Since we could not find any issue in the attached logs, please raise a support ticket. A logging version of the Safe banking and payment module will need to be installed to get more information.

ESET is a reputable security company that has been on the market for more than 30 years already. Out products do not perform any malicious actions nor do contain a remote control function. Even the remote management agent cannot control the machine and merely maintenance connection between Endpoint and the ESET PROTECT server.
Also running a script cannot be considered malicious unless the script is malicious. Many legitimate programs and also Windows itself may run script for legitimate purposes.
The best would be if you could provide some screenshots for illustration but I'm sure there must be some misunderstanding of what you were seeing.

In automatic mode, all non-initiated inbound communication is blocked. To allow it, create a permissive rule for the appropriate application and put it above other custom firewall rules that you may have.
