Administrators Marcos 5,404 Posted November 30, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2015 ESET does not offer lifetime licenses as nobody can guarantee what will happen in the future and how the situation not only in IT will develop. Yuri-RUS 0
Development of Protection on Android does not require large financial costs. As development for Windows. Price $ 40 for a lifetime license for Android is an adequate solution. Are you afraid of losing profits when you start a lifetime license?
TomFace 539
Malwarebytes had a lifetime license but no longer does that. Like a FREE service, with a lifetime license there is always a cost somewhere for someone (to make up the difference). Businesses are in business to provide a product (or service) and make a profit. They are not charities. As Marcos said, no one can guarantee what the future holds (either marketwise or technology wise). That being said, there is always room for "creative pricing". Yuri-RUS 0
Dr Web provides a lifetime license for protection on Android. Because for Android there is a very complex threats. Development costs are minimal protection for Android. And Avast will soon offer premium features of his defense on Android for free. This is just talk, that the license is not profitable.
