TomFace 539
Forgive me for asking a silly question, but am I correct in v8 SSL Protocol Checking was off by default and in v9 is on by default? Is the only reason for this the addition of banking protection? There seems to be much discussion about SSL as of late (turn it on, turn it off, blocking websites...etc). Any thoughts? Administrators Solution Marcos 4,718 Posted November 28, 2015 Administrators Solution Share Posted November 28, 2015 Yes, it's on by default as of v9. Times have changed and malware is often downloaded from https websites. With SSL scanning off, it wouldn't be detected by web protection. Also Parental control wouldn't work for https websites either.
