How do I remotely uninstall ESET File Security for Windows Servers by RDP?

Hi!

 

I have a problem with uninstall ESET File Security for Windows Servers 5.x (Windows Server 2008 R2) remotely.

I connected by Remote Desktop Protocol. Opened Control Panel, Program & Futures, Serached for Eset File Security, clicked Change and started uninstall process remotely.

The uninstaller freeze on deleting drivers with RDP session freezing.

I tried to connect by RDP again and saw only black screen.

This is not at first time! This bug I saw previosly on version 4.x!

Hello alexhoma,

 

There was never EFSW in version 5.x, you probably meant version 4.x.

The issue might have been caused by the fact that when the drivers are removed, the network driver may be reinitialized, thus it resets all ongoing network connections.

For all remote installation and uninstallation, we recommend to use ESET Remote Administrator instead, which allows you to fully manage ESET software on your network, its configuration, etc.

Installation of ERA itself is recommended to be performed locally.
