Software Install - Package list empty...

Hi guys,

 

I'm migrating our Nod32 environment from release 5 to 6.

We use ERA Server and Enpoint Antivirus.

 

I did install ERA6 6.1.530 server and 6.1.334 web console which I believe are the latest releases available for now.

 

All good for the setup and configuration I figured out everything except for the Client Deployment !

When I set up the Software Install task, I'm stuck at the point where I have to specify "Package to Install" and when I click to "Choose package" I'm redirected to a window with No Data Available so it's an empty package list...

 

No issue to contact "hxxp://repository.eset.com/v1/"repository, here is a part of my Server trace.log :

Could you please help me to figure out what is the issue here ? Aren't delivering "ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Windows" package from your repository ?

Or I'd need to use the option "Install by direct package URL" ?

 

I don't like the idea of having this deployed by GPO, this is a workaround and the product should deliver the feature as developed for.

That's weird because according to the log a response to the query was received and a list of available products was retrieved. This is something that developers should look into as there's no obvious issue. Of course, you can download an Endpoint installer and use a local URI when creating a software install task.

As for deployment, we recommend using GPO as a push install requires a lot of conditions to be fulfilled so the probability of a failure is higher.

Could you please try restarting the ERAS service? We've tried to reproduce it to no avail and approximately 350 products were shown in the list. The content of repository is refreshed by ERAS in 1 hour intervals.

FWIW I got the same issue since 6.1

 

Just updated to 6.2 and it's still the same: Empty package list.

I forgot to reply to Moderators, but of course I did restart my server OS so as ERAS service with no luck, the package list in my client task remains empty...

Please create a support ticket as we haven't come across an issue like this and it will need to be troubleshooted with the assistance of ERA engineers.

Prepare logs as follows:

1, enable debug logging by ERA Server

2, stop ERA Server service

3, delete the ERAS trace log

4, start logging with Wireshark

5, start ERA Server service

6, try to create a software install task

7, stop logging.

 

Supply us with: the Wireshark log, ERAS trace log.

Cancel my last post, the proxy settings were incorrect and after setting that correctly I had to reboot the ERA Server service. That did it for me. It might be valuable information for other people though.
