Roul Steigauf 1
Hello, the safe start from FDE does not work, the log file contains the above error message. The messages are very general, so we do not know what is wrong. Thank you. eelogs_121147_10102024.zip efde_ais_2024-10-10.log
ESET Staff Solution Kstainton 39 Posted October 10 ESET Staff Solution Share Posted October 10 (edited) Hi @Roul Steigauf, DLPCOMM_FDE_EnableTestMode failed with error 536871024 is "Failed to copy the EFI loader to the ESP", basically this means we could not test our EFDE Boot File due to the ESP being too full. Your Total ESP Usage is : 100173818 bytes (95 MB) Out of the maximum 100MB. Which I can see in your system information: "PartitionSize_s" : "100 MB" "PartitionTypeGUID_Desc" : "EFI System Partition" EFDE's boot files require around 20MB to be safe. My advice would be to increase the available space on the ESP and this should allow the relevant files to be created and encryption to start. So long as there are not any other issues. If so, please get back in touch. Thank you, Kieran Edited October 10 by Kstainton
