Pan Bambaryla 3
After MySQL upgrade to version 8.4 0 the system stopped working. ESET - why didn't you block MySQL upgrade in Rocky? What are steps now to resolve the problem? [root@...]# odbcinst -q -d [PostgreSQL] [MySQL] [MySQL-5] [FreeTDS] [MariaDB] [MySQL ODBC 8.4 Unicode Driver] [MySQL ODBC 8.4 ANSI Driver] CDatabaseModule [Thread 7fb485e88800]: Probing database connection failed. Next connection attempt will be in 10 seconds. 1 more attempt will be made. The database access layer reported: [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Can't open lib 'MySQL ODBC 8.3 Unicode Driver' : file not found (0) There are 2 methods to resolve the problem, I think: 1) downgrade MySQL 2) install MySQL ODBC 8.3 driver 3) change configuration to use 8.4 driver What should I do now? Pan Bambaryla 3
I had to restore my VM from the previous day and now it looks like before upgrade - problematic driver is red-marked. Edited April 30 by Pan Bambaryla TN LMG
TN LMG 8
https://support.eset.com/en/kb7859-cannot-connect-to-the-eset-protect-web-console-after-linux-mysql-update I rolled back yesterday and have applied the version lock as instructed in the above article. This has resolved this issue for me. Edited May 1 by TN LMG
